While persist is a bit like pursue, it is different in key ways.
Persist (pərˈsist/) v. continue firmly or obstinately in an opinion or a course of action in spite of difficulty, opposition, or failure.
I love this definition so much. Mainly, I hope to persist in any challenges I face. It’s easy to give up, to walk away, to quit, especially when opposition strikes. Persist will keep me focused on my goals, help me stay motivated, and guide me to a successful 2015.
(Last year, Jeromy also chose a word: Own. This year, he’s stealing Pursue from me!)
If you’re interested in choosing a word as a theme for your 2015, check out OneWord365. Last year, I discovered this awesome website that is connecting people from all over the world who have chosen the same word as you. Pro Tip: I like verbs. They give you something to do, and it’s a lot easier to apply verbs to your decision making!

That's a great word! Don't give up and keep pushing on no matter the obstacles! I have a tattoo that I got to kind of represent overcoming boundaries.

That is such a cool idea! I've heard of a few other bloggers doing this same thing, and I think I may have to pick a word for 2015 as well!

I thought about choosing a word for the year and couldn't figure out one word that I was happy with. That happens often since I am quite indecisive! Good choice of a word!
